Countless individuals depend on BT daily for their personal lives, business operations, and essential public infrastructure. We facilitate connections between people and opportunities, keeping commerce moving and emergency services operational. Furthermore, we leverage technical innovation to address global issues like cybersecurity and environmental sustainability.
From your first day at BT Group, your input will be valued. You will engage with demanding tasks, contribute original concepts, and drive results within a supportive framework. Working on high-impact projects, you will gain insights from veteran professionals and sharpen your technical engineering abilities. You will build professional networks, uncover hidden strengths, and experience a sense of collective purpose.
About this role
Our Digital Platforms divisions engineer and maintain the software architectures that facilitate BT’s daily operations. These frameworks are fundamental to how commercial agreements are generated and managed throughout the corporation.
In the capacity of a Software Engineering Graduate, you will assist in the architecture, setup, and optimization of these systems—transforming business requirements into dependable, high-performance software. You will utilize contemporary tech stacks, receive mentorship from expert engineers, and participate in initiatives that provide significant value to our clients and staff.
Our Digital Platforms and their associated teams are vital to the success of BT. By merging technical proficiency with business insight and a commitment to user experience, we produce creative tools that differentiate BT. This position offers you the opportunity to help direct technology that enhances lives in practical and inclusive ways.
What you’ll be doing
BT is currently evolving its commercial contract management by transitioning from manual, disconnected workflows to a contemporary, cloud-integrated Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system. To drive this, BT Digital is establishing a CLM Centre of Excellence (CoE), adopting an engineering-centric strategy to overhaul contracting using premium SaaS CLM software, automation, and sophisticated Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence (AI/ML). Our goal is to develop cognitive systems that offer deeper analytics and facilitate more efficient commercial choices.
In this position, you will be a key contributor to these architectures. You will assist in building digital processes, interfaces, and logic within the system, converting legal and commercial needs into scalable software. You will also facilitate API connectivity between the CLM tool and other internal BT environments to ensure fluid data exchange.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Collaborate with the CLM program team to build configuration-driven solutions in the SaaS platform (including rule logic, UI design, and workflow paths).
Participate in translating intricate commercial and legal mandates into precise platform logic and automated document templates.
Adjust and improve the platform’s AI/ML features for obligation tracking, data harvesting, and automated playbook compliance.
Contribute to the creation of integration tools and API management to ensure consistent data syncing between the CLM tool and enterprise systems like ERP and CRM.
Formulate and run thorough testing plans for all platform updates to maintain high stability and regulatory compliance before launch.
Verify that all system configurations are scalable, modular, and adhere to established governance and change control protocols.
Generate transparent technical guides for configurations, custom features, and the deployment infrastructure we manage.
Adopt agile practices and demonstrate a drive to perpetually advance our CLM toolset.
Promote a healthy team dynamic and contribute to collective wellbeing.
What we’re looking for
SaaS Platform Setup & Low-Code Engineering.
History of designing or assisting with API integrations using webhooks, middleware, or RESTful services.
Application of AI/ML in Practical Contexts – Understanding how to deploy AI/ML tools (such as NLP, data classification, or extraction) to optimize workflows.
DevOps & Automated Workflows – Basic experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, or container technologies in a modern engineering setting.
Analytical Problem-Solving – The capacity to deconstruct complex operational hurdles and engineer maintainable solutions for an enterprise scale.
We seek candidates who are self-starters, show initiative, and are dedicated to continuous professional education. We prioritize teamwork; therefore, you will be expected to work from the office at least three days per week.
