Job description
We are looking for a hands-on technical leader to spearhead our cloud evolution within a high-stakes enterprise banking environment. In this role, you’ll act as the primary architect for our hybrid-cloud strategy, moving beyond simple maintenance to actively shaping the future of our GCP roadmap. You will sit at the intersection of engineering and business strategy, ensuring that our platforms aren’t just functional, but are resilient, automated, and built to scale using modern Infrastructure as Code practices. Key Responsibilities
• Lead the design and implementation of hybrid-cloud platforms and automated API-driven systems using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
• Shape and influence GCP technology roadmaps aligned with business strategy.
• Design, build, and release cloud-native services in collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams.
• Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines using cloud-native and third-party tools.
• Manage and resolve enterprise-level network connectivity incidents and problems.
• Review and provide feedback on code changes to maintain engineering standards.
• Ensure all engineering deliverables comply with enterprise security and control requirements.
• Identify opportunities to adopt emerging technologies and cloud-based innovations.
• Ensure services are resilient, cost-optimized, scalable, and production-ready.
Required Skills & Experience
• Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Proven experience in DevOps concepts and CI/CD pipelines.
• Expertise in:
• Git
• Terraform / Terraform Cloud
• HashiCorp Vault
• Jenkins
• Harness
• Experience designing and delivering Hybrid Cloud architectures.
• Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
• Experience managing enterprise networking connectivity issues.
• Experience working in regulated enterprise environments (Banking/Financial Services preferred).
• Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams and business stakeholders.
• Technology-agnostic mindset with strong problem-solving capability.
