Job Overview
As a Dementia Friend & Companion, you will visit clients for a minimum of one hour, providing companionship, support with daily routines, outings, and social engagement. This part-time role allows you to build meaningful relationships while ensuring clients feel safe, valued, and connected in their homes.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and emotional support to adults with dementia

• Assist with morning/evening routines, including breakfast, medication prompts, and hygiene

• Support outings, shopping trips, or hospital visits

• Build trusting, consistent relationships with clients

• Report changes in client needs to the care team

Requirements

• Compassionate, caring, and reliable nature

• Car driver essential for travel between clients

• Flexible availability, including alternate weekends

• Good communication skills and patience

• Commitment to training and following care plans

Benefits

• £10.75–£11.75 per hour, plus mileage & paid travel between calls

• Double pay on bank holidays with day in lieu

• Flexible hours: 16–30 per week, 7am–10pm
