Job Description

TGJones is seeking a Data Protection Manager to join their Support Centre in Swindon, working in a hybrid model with three days per week in the office. This role is responsible for ensuring the company’s compliance with UK GDPR, PECR, and other relevant data protection regulations. The manager will oversee incident management, policies, DPIAs, employee training, and act as the subject matter expert to embed a strong data protection culture across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with GDPR, PECR, and CCTV regulations.

• Manage data protection incidents and ensure timely resolution.

• Develop and enhance data protection processes and framework.

• Review DPIAs, policies, transparency notices, and RoPAs.

• Deliver training and guidance to employees on data protection.

• Support marketing compliance, individual rights requests, and audits.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with Loss Prevention, IT, and Information Security teams.

• Maintain the OneTrust Cookie Preference Centre and perform regular website cookie scans.

• Monitor and report on updates to data protection legislation.

Person Specification

• CIPP/E and CIPM qualifications or equivalent preferred.

• Proven experience in data protection and risk management, ideally in retail or commercial sectors.

• Strong understanding of data privacy law and ICO guidance.

• Ability to perform audits and DPIAs to required standards.

• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Confident working independently and collaboratively.

• Strong organisational skills, initiative, and drive.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
