About The Role

The Data Product Manager position is a specialized leadership role within the Marsh Data team, situated inside the broader BCS organization. You will report directly to the Global Data Head with a functional reporting line to the Global Client Management Value Stream Leader.

We are looking for a highly motivated strategist to spearhead data-driven solutions for the Client Management Value Stream. You will act as the essential link between technical squads, data specialists, and business stakeholders to architect, implement, and refine data solutions. These initiatives will streamline the client journey, maintain regulatory compliance, and unlock significant business value.

As a Data Product Manager, you will assume full accountability for the client data and analytics portfolio. You will oversee the complete lifecycle—spanning acquisition, ingestion, processing, repository management, and final consumption—ensuring every layer aligns with Marsh’s overarching global and regional data frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

Product Ownership & Vision

  • Establish the strategic roadmap and vision for client-related data capabilities.

  • Identify and define core metrics to harmonize global dashboards with operational and tactical objectives.

  • Ensure all client data initiatives adhere to group standards and leverage industry-best data practices.

  • Convert complex business goals and legal mandates into executable, data-centric products.

  • Prioritize and curate the product backlog to ensure maximum value delivery.

Stakeholder Management

  • Cultivate deep partnerships with Regional Data Leads, Compliance, IT, and Value Stream leaders to pinpoint data opportunities.

  • Serve as the primary advocate and liaison between business units and technical delivery teams.

  • Coordinate cross-functional efforts to ensure product features offer tangible improvements to client management.

Delivery & Execution

  • Lead the end-to-end deployment of data products using Agile methodologies.

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to build secure, scalable, and compliant data architectures.

  • Manage sprint planning, backlog grooming, and risk mitigation to ensure consistent delivery pace.

  • Serve as the central point of coordination for Data and Management Intelligence (MI) testing.

Data Analytics, KPIs & Quality

  • Define and standardize Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to evaluate product effectiveness and client experience.

  • Supervise high-impact tools including the Global Client Service Dashboard, Data Quality Dashboards, and Client IQ.

  • Implement robust frameworks for data governance to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency across global and regional systems.

  • Drive automation and advanced analytics to modernize the management process.

What You Need to Have

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Management, or a related technical field.

  • Experience: 8+ years in data governance or management, preferably within financial services or insurance.

  • Agile Expertise: 3+ years of hands-on experience in Agile Product Management.

  • Technical Depth: Profound understanding of data warehouses, data lakes, modeling, and visualization tools.

  • Industry Knowledge: Comprehensive grasp of the insurance client journey, including acquisition, servicing, and retention.

  • Communication: Proven ability to present complex data capabilities to executive leadership and influence senior stakeholders.
