Job Overview
As a part-time Customer-Focused Catering Assistant, you will support the kitchen and front-of-house team with food preparation, counter service, till work and cleaning. You will follow food safety standards, handle busy periods calmly and ensure every guest enjoys quick, friendly service in a clean, welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
• Assist with basic food preparation and simple cooking tasks
• Serve customers at counters, displaying a warm, professional manner
• Handle cash and card transactions accurately and efficiently
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness across kitchen, service and dining areas
• Replenish counters and self-service stations throughout service
• Follow hygiene, health and safety procedures at all times
Requirements
• Positive attitude and passion for delivering great customer service
• Ability to work well under pressure during busy service times
• Team player who communicates clearly with colleagues and customers
• Reliable, punctual and happy to work agreed part-time shifts
• Right to work in the United Kingdom
Qualifications
• Previous catering, hospitality or retail experience helpful but not essential
• Basic understanding of food hygiene, or willingness to complete training
• Comfortable handling cash and using a till after training
