Cultural Institute Project Management Assistant Intern
This is a high-impact, developmental year-in-industry placement designed for current University of Leeds students aiming for a career in the arts, culture, or higher education. You will take on a pivotal role in the co-delivery of cultural programming, including a key support position for the iconic Light Night Leeds festival. Throughout the internship, you will gain hands-on experience in creative production, partnership facilitation, and research funding, all while receiving dedicated mentorship and the unique opportunity to lead a collaborative project with one of our external cultural partners.
The Project Management Assistant will play a key role in supporting the delivery of Light Night Leeds (28 & 29 October). Therefore, we expect that the candidate will be available from 26 to 30 October 2026 during this crucial period.
Requirements, Qualifications and Skills:

Are you a second or penultimate year undergraduate student at the University of Leeds looking to take a year-in-industry as part of your degree?

With an interest in pursuing a career in the cultural and creative industries or higher education.

You will have excellent organisational and planning skills and the ability to complete tasks to agreed deadlines.

You will also have strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

With a positive and proactive approach to problem solving and making improvements.

Strong IT skills and proficiency in the use of MS Office products (particularly Word and Excel) are essential.
