Visit Belfast is seeking enthusiastic individuals to serve as the initial point of contact for international guests arriving in our award-winning port. Recognized as the Best UK Port of Call, Belfast anticipates a bustling season, and our Ambassadors are essential in providing the famous Northern Ireland welcome. As a representative of the city’s official tourism agency, you will operate between the Cruise Welcome Hub at Belfast Harbour and the Welcome Centre at Donegall Square North. You will manage guest flow, provide vital transport information, and ensure a seamless transition from ship to city.
Primary Responsibilities:

Meeting and greeting passengers and crew as they disembark in all weather conditions.

Coordinating shuttle bus services by collecting tickets or recording passenger details.

Directing visitors to transport links at Airport Road West, Stormont Berth, or City Hall.

Delivering high-quality tourist information regarding attractions and local travel.

Assisting with retail operations and ticket sales within the terminal gift shop.

Conducting visitor satisfaction surveys using mobile tablet technology.

Maintaining orderly queues and prioritizing passenger boarding over crew.

Liaising with Cruise Coordinators and Ground Handlers to report operational feedback.
Candidate Requirements:

Education: Minimum of 5 GCSEs (Grade C or above) including English and Maths.

Experience: At least one year of administrative, clerical, or customer service experience.

Knowledge: A strong understanding of Belfast and Northern Ireland as a tourist destination.

Communication: Exceptional spoken and written English with proven interpersonal skills.

Flexibility: Full availability for August and September 2025, including weekends and holidays.

Logistics: Ability to travel to the Cruise Terminal for early morning or late evening shifts.
