JPMorganChase is looking for a strategic and analytical Credit Review – Vice President to join our elite Credit Review team. This is a high-visibility position where you will oversee portfolios across the Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB), Wealth Management, and Business Banking sectors.

As a Vice President, you are more than a reviewer; you are a guardian of credit quality. You will lead high-priority periodic reviews, guiding a team of professionals to dissect complex commercial loan transactions and evaluate the efficacy of risk management frameworks. This role offers the unique opportunity to provide independent, expert opinions on underwriting accuracy, risk grading timeliness, and the overall health of the credit management process. Between reviews, you will serve as a vital link between Credit Review and Credit Risk Management, monitoring trends and fostering stakeholder relationships while maintaining the independence essential to our Audit function.

Key Responsibilities

• Leadership & Execution: Serve as the Reviewer-in-Charge, managing the end-to-end lifecycle of credit reviews—from initial planning and scope definition to presenting findings and archiving final reports.

• Risk Assessment: Conduct deep-dive financial analyses and risk evaluations to verify the adequacy of credit mitigation and underwriting standards.

• Continuous Monitoring: Keep a pulse on assigned commercial lending portfolios, identifying emerging risk trends and participating in high-level portfolio review meetings.

• Strategic Partnership: Build robust professional relationships with Credit Risk Management stakeholders, ensuring firm-wide Risk Policies are applied consistently and effectively.

• Team Development: Mentor team members, fostering a culture of information sharing, accountability, and excellence.

Your Qualifications

• Expertise: Substantial experience as a credit professional within the commercial lending landscape.

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required.

• Analytical Prowess: A proven track record of understanding complex commercial credit principles and identifying nuanced risk factors.

• Communication: Masterful verbal and written communication skills, with the poise to present sensitive or complex findings to senior management.

• Agility: The ability to pivot in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple urgent priorities with a strategic mindset.

• Preferred: Completion of a formal credit training program and prior experience in credit review or underwriting is highly desirable.
