Job Description
Bedford High School is seeking to appoint a Temporary Cover Supervisor to join our friendly and close-knit team for a maternity cover. Judged “Good” by Ofsted in 2023, our school is a thriving mixed comprehensive that is currently full across all year groups. This role is central to maintaining our positive school climate, ensuring that students continue to learn effectively even when their regular teachers are unavailable. Key Responsibilities

Lesson Delivery: Lead and supervise classes across the curriculum, ensuring students complete set work and maintain a productive learning environment.

Student Support: When cover requirements are light, work with students in their lessons or lead small-group interventions to boost progress.

Team Collaboration: Support the Lead Cover Supervisor in daily organization to ensure the school runs efficiently.

Relationship Management: Foster positive relationships with students based on mutual respect, in line with the school’s inclusive values.

Operational Flexibility: Navigate our two-site campus to provide support where it is most needed.
