County Committee Chair

Role Overview:

We’re looking for a dynamic leader to head our Wiltshire County Committee. As Chair, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the charity’s presence in the region, working closely with the Regional Director to deliver impact and engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

· Lead and inspire the Wiltshire County Committee.

· Organise and oversee local fundraising events and meetings.

· Represent the charity at regional functions and within the community.

· Collaborate with the Regional Director to align local initiatives with the charity’s wider goals.

Ideal Candidate:

· Strong leadership and organisational skills.

· Confident communicator and networker.

· Understanding or links to the Armed Forces community are preferred but not essential.

· Passionate about making a difference for soldiers, veterans, and their families.

Minimum Requirements:

· Ability to commit time to attend quarterly meetings (either online or in-person) and support local initiatives.

· Strong leadership and organisational skills to guide the committee and oversee activities.

· Confident communicator, comfortable representing the Army Benevolent Fund in public settings.

· Willingness to collaborate with the Regional Director and other volunteers to achieve shared goals.

Events Committee Member

Role Overview:

Do you love creating memorable experiences? Join the Army Benevolent Fund’s Wiltshire Event Committee and help deliver impactful events that raise vital funds and awareness. You can organise one event based on a passion of yours—such as a golf day, dinner, or sporting challenge—or support the planning and delivery of other events across the county.

Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver your own event or assist with existing fundraising activities.
• Support logistics and on-the-day coordination.
• Work with fellow committee members to maximise impact and attendance.

Ideal Candidate:
• Organised, enthusiastic, and a team player.
• Event planning experience (or a passion for learning).
• Keen to use your interests—sport, arts, networking—to make a difference.
• Links or understanding of the Armed Forces community are preferred but not essential.

Networking & Advocacy Committee Member

Role Overview:

Become a voice for our charity in Wiltshire! As a Networking & Advocacy Committee Member, you’ll help spread the word, champion our events, and build connections that strengthen local support.

Key Responsibilities:
• Act as an advocate for the charity within your networks.
• Share event information and encourage attendance.
• Help grow awareness and engagement across Wiltshire.

Ideal Candidate:
• Well-connected and committed to community engagement.
• Comfortable promoting events and initiatives.
• Driven to make a positive impact locally.
• Links or understanding of the Armed Forces community are preferred but not essential.

Minimum Requirements for both roles
• Ability to commit time to attend quarterly meetings (online or in-person) and support activities.
• Good communication skills and willingness to collaborate.
• No prior committee experience required—just enthusiasm and reliability.
