Huntress
Collections Specialist | Fully Remote (Kent-Based) | 6-Month Contract
Intro
Are you a detail-oriented finance professional with a knack for Oracle systems? We are recruiting a Collections Specialist for a leading finance team. This role offers the ultimate flexibility of being fully remote, though you must be a resident of Kent to attend occasional in-person strategy meetings or training sessions. If you have a strong background in income processing and enjoy the challenge of reconciling complex accounts, this 6-month contract—which has a high probability of extension—could be your next career move.
Key Responsibilities
-
Income Management: Act as the primary point of contact for all income-related queries, ensuring professional and timely resolutions.
-
Allocation & Receipting: Accurately receipt, bank, and allocate income in strict accordance with financial procedures and month-end deadlines.
-
Account Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of accounts to ensure financial data integrity and resolve discrepancies.
-
Direct Debit Administration: Oversee the end-to-end administration of the Direct Debit process, ensuring seamless payment collection.
-
Financial Reporting: Maintain precise financial records and provide clear, informed guidance to both internal stakeholders and external clients.
Key Requirements
-
Systems Expertise: Proficiency in Oracle financial systems is a core requirement for this role.
-
Experience: Proven track record in income processing, financial collections, or accounts receivable.
-
Technical Skills: High level of numeracy and analytical ability, with strong Microsoft Excel skills for data manipulation and reporting.
-
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a confident approach to managing sensitive financial information.
-
Independence: The ability to stay organized and productive while working as part of a remote team.
-
Location: Must be based in Kent (essential for occasional on-site requirements).
About the Role
As a Collections Specialist, you are a critical link in the company’s cash flow chain. You won’t just be “chasing payments”; you will be managing the sophisticated logic of income allocation within Oracle.
Your day-to-day will involve navigating the complexities of the Direct Debit cycle—from mandate setup to handling BACS reports—and ensuring that every pound that enters the business is accounted for and reconciled. Because this role is remote, your ability to manage your own workflow and communicate clearly through digital channels like Outlook and Teams is vital to the team’s success.
