CodeCreators is a commercial Enactus Sheffield project that runs IT and coding classes which target students and u
niversity staff to increase digital literacy in areas such as Google Sheets and Python. Running since 2017, we have raised thousands of pounds towards Enactus initiatives, and are looking to directly support charities in the coming year.As a Code Creator mentor, you will help to deliver a 5-week spreadsheet course, developing people’s analytical thinking, problem solving, technical skills, and workplace readiness. In the future phases of the program, you will be able to contribute in developing and delivering other courses.
Your key responsibilities include:
• Assisting in creating and preparing materials
• Delivering lessons every Wednesday from 13:30 to 15:30
• Attending weekly team meetings every Wednesday from 17:00 to 19:00
What we’re looking for:
• A student at the University of Sheffield
• Willingness to learn and take initiative
• Capable of managing commitments responsibly
• Basic technical knowledge (e.g., using common software or digital tools) is preferred
Please note that, as mentioned above, technical skills are not required as long as you are happy to review any training materials we provide.
