About the Role

As a Claims Apprentice, you are the voice of help when things go wrong for our customers. Your role is to guide them through the process after an accident or damage, providing empathetic and efficient support during what can be a very stressful time. You will learn to manage the end-to-end claims lifecycle—from recording new reports and investigating potential fraud to negotiating settlements and issuing payments. This is a high-impact role where you combine data analysis with human connection, ensuring our customers get the support they need when they need it most.

What You’ll Learn & Achieve

This 18-bit-month programme is designed to fast-track your career through a mix of on-the-job experience and dedicated study time:

Qualifications: You will earn a Providing Financial Services SCQF Level 6 and a nationally recognized Certificate in Insurance via the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII).
Technical Skills: Master the principles of claims handling, evaluate insurance policies, and understand the difference between insured and uninsured losses.
Relationship Management: Develop professional interpersonal skills and learn to navigate complex rules and regulations within the financial sector.

Requirements

Education: Minimum of five GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade C/4 including Maths and English.
Residency: Must have the permanent right to work in the UK and have resided in the UK for the last three consecutive years.
Attitude: A professional “can-do” approach with strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships.
Eligibility: You must not already hold a qualification in the same field at the same or higher level (SCQF 6).
