Chef – Facilities (Retail)
Role Overview
This role supports high-volume retail catering within a major hospital environment, delivering freshly prepared meals and food services to strict quality, safety, and hygiene standards. You will work as part of a professional facilities team, contributing to excellent customer service and smooth daily operations on a rota basis.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and cook meals to a consistently high standard within a fast-paced retail outlet.

Maintain accurate HACCP records and ensure full compliance with food safety legislation.

Follow all health and safety policies and departmental procedures at all times.

Deliver friendly, efficient customer service to staff, patients, and visitors.

Support and deputise for the Retail Supervisor when required.

Work flexibly across a 5-over-7 rota to meet service demands.
Candidate Requirements

Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a chef in a busy catering environment.

Relevant catering qualification at SCQF Level 5 or 6 (or equivalent).

Strong communication and organisational skills.

Ability to work effectively within a team-focused environment.

Commitment to quality, hygiene, and customer satisfaction.
