Role Overview

This role supports high-volume retail catering within a major hospital environment, delivering freshly prepared meals and food services to strict quality, safety, and hygiene standards. You will work as part of a professional facilities team, contributing to excellent customer service and smooth daily operations on a rota basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook meals to a consistently high standard within a fast-paced retail outlet.

  • Maintain accurate HACCP records and ensure full compliance with food safety legislation.

  • Follow all health and safety policies and departmental procedures at all times.

  • Deliver friendly, efficient customer service to staff, patients, and visitors.

  • Support and deputise for the Retail Supervisor when required.

  • Work flexibly across a 5-over-7 rota to meet service demands.

Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a chef in a busy catering environment.

  • Relevant catering qualification at SCQF Level 5 or 6 (or equivalent).

  • Strong communication and organisational skills.

  • Ability to work effectively within a team-focused environment.

  • Commitment to quality, hygiene, and customer satisfaction.
