Salaried GP – Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC)
The Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated General Practitioner to join the Urgent Treatment Centre at Chase Farm Hospital. Core Requirements and Skills

GMC Licence to Practice and MRCGP.

Current UK GP Principal or Non-Principal (Non-Principals must be on a Medical Performers List).

Experience: Previous experience in an Emergency Department or Urgent Care Centre is essential.

Availability: Specifically seeking coverage for Saturdays and Sundays, 16:00–22:00. Applicants for other shifts must be able to cover at least two evening shifts (e.g., 16:00–22:00 or 18:00–22:00) per week.

Clinical Excellence: Ability to independently assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of acute conditions and minor injuries.

Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to navigate complex clinical environments and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

Acute Assessment: Conduct thorough patient assessments and provide accurate diagnoses for unscheduled urgent care needs.

Treatment & Referral: Prescribe medications, perform minor procedures, and provide follow-up care or referrals to specialist services as required.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with ENPs (Emergency Nurse Practitioners) and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe, comprehensive patient journeys.

Clinical Governance: Maintain meticulous patient records and stay current with the latest medical procedures and UTC best practices.
