Charity Shop Volunteer

Role summary

Peaceful Solutions is a charity dedicated to supporting families, individuals and businesses in finding effective resolutions to conflicts. Our services aim to promote peaceful conflict resolution and community engagement. We operate seven charity shops across Northwest London, including locations in Kensal Rise, Queen’s Park, Willesden, Neasden, Maida Hill, Wembley Park and Willesden Green. These shops serve as hubs for our community engagement and fundraising efforts, supporting our various programmes and initiatives.

We are currently looking for regular volunteers to support our Shop Managers in delivering first-class service to our donors and customers. As a volunteer, you will play an important role in the smooth running of the shop and contribute directly to the success of Peaceful Solutions’ mission. In return we can provide training to assistant manager level and customer service experience.

What’s involved?
• Greeting and assisting customers, ensuring they have a positive shopping experience
• Sorting and displaying donated items, helping to keep the shop well-presented
• Assisting with till operations and cash handling, once trained

What we’re looking for:
• Enthusiastic and committed individuals who are able to volunteer 1-2 half or full days per week
• A minimum commitment of 3 months to ensure continuity and build strong community ties
• A friendly attitude, willingness to learn and an interest in supporting a charity with a difference

Please note that this is an unpaid volunteer position.
