Change An Educators’ Life

ENGin

Job description

ENGin is inviting English-fluent educators to join ENGin4EDU, a specialized initiative designed to empower teachers across Ukraine. By volunteering just one hour a week, you can help break the language barrier for Ukrainian educators, creating a massive ripple effect that benefits generations of students. Since 2020, our nonprofit has facilitated over 26,000 connections, fostering a global community built on cross-cultural exchange and authentic human connection. This program isn’t just about language; it’s a collaborative space to share global education insights, discuss teaching methodologies, and grow professionally alongside a peer in a 1-on-1 virtual setting.

How Does It Work?

  • Meet weekly for 1 hour one-on-one video chats for 6 months

  • March – May 2026 Follow ENGin4EDU curriculum to engage in insightful discussions related to education trends, teaching methodologies, classroom challenges, and more.

  • June – August 2026 Direct your conversations however you prefer. Explore topics of shared interest while continuing to practice conversational English with your paired educator.

  • Connect with other volunteers in our online community and by attending optional virtual gatherings for all ENGin4EDU participants

  • Access direct support from our team through our dedicated program manager

Requirements, Qualifications and Skills

  • Must be 21 or older and fluent in English (No knowledge of Ukrainian is required!)

  • Current or retired educator with full-time experience teaching in the US, Canada, the UK, or Australia, ideally in a K-12 or college/university setting or experience in teacher training, curriculum development, or education leadership

  • Basic proficiency with online video conferencing

  • Able to commit 1 hour/week for 6 months from March – August 2026

  • Time can be regularly scheduled or flexible week to week

Becoming a volunteer is a straightforward process that leads to a deeply rewarding experience. To secure your spot for the March cycle, you’ll need to complete our onboarding steps—including a brief interview and asynchronous training—by March 2nd. We provide all the necessary tips and resources to ensure your sessions are effective and enjoyable.
