Are you called to provide spiritual guidance and pastoral care in a setting where it is needed most? Sodexo is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Roman Catholic Chaplain to join the multi-faith Chaplaincy Team at HMP Forest Bank.

In this profound role, you will be a pillar of support for residents and staff within the prison environment. You won’t just be facilitating religious services; you will be a vital agent of rehabilitation, helping to foster a respectful, caring, and ordered community. Whether you are leading faith-based courses, visiting individuals in the healthcare center, or supporting those preparing for their reintegration into society, your presence will offer hope and dignity to those navigating life’s most difficult transitions.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Pastoral & Spiritual Care: Serve the religious needs of the Roman Catholic community while offering inclusive pastoral support to residents and staff of all backgrounds.

• Community Building: Work collaboratively to create an environment where individuals feel safe to explore, practice, and strengthen their faith.

• Operational Chaplaincy: Manage essential duties including meeting new receptions, handling chaplaincy applications, and conducting visits to the Separation and Care units.

• Interfaith Collaboration: Partner closely with chaplains of other traditions to promote mutual understanding, peace, and a cohesive multi-faith provision.

• Rehabilitation & Reintegration: Act as a bridge between the prison and external faith communities to support residents in their journey toward a successful release.

• Policy Contribution: Assist in the development of local practices and procedures that ensure chaplaincy services remain effective and impactful.
