Deliver engaging catering and hospitality lessons, assess practical and theoretical student work, and maintain exceptional standards in teaching and learning outcomes.


Core Information

## Role Overview

  • Teach and assess catering students at Levels 1–2 in kitchen and patisserie disciplines.

  • Support curriculum delivery and uphold Nottingham College’s high teaching standards.

  • Contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced catering and hospitality faculty.

## Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality practical and theoretical sessions.

  • Support learners’ development in professional culinary and patisserie techniques.

  • Conduct assessments in alignment with curriculum and qualification standards.

  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and achievement.

  • Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent academic excellence.

## Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience teaching or training within FE (Further Education) or similar educational settings.

  • Proven catering or hospitality background with VRQ assessment knowledge (Levels 1–2).

  • Excellent organisation, communication, and teamwork abilities.

  • Assessor’s Award (A1/TAQA) is desirable but not mandatory.
