Cash and Bank Analyst | Funeralcare Finance
Rullion is looking for a precision-oriented Cash and Bank Analyst to join a household name in the Funeralcare sector. This is a high-volume, 6-week contract role based in Manchester City Centre, offering an immediate start for a specialist who excels in untangling complex reconciliation issues.
In this role, you aren’t just processing numbers; you are a financial detective. You will control and reconcile cash transactions for the Funeralcare division, identifying risks and supporting process improvements. You will be a key resource for the Cash and Banking Manager, helping to steer the division toward more efficient, future-focused financial operations.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables

Complex Reconciliations: Manage high-volume balance sheet reconciliations and develop robust reports to resolve outstanding queries.

Process Enhancement: Identify inefficiencies in current workflows and implement continuous improvements to prevent recurring discrepancies.

Specialist Training: Develop high-quality training assets, including written guides and video tutorials, to upskill the wider finance team.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with the Funeralcare Finance administration team to streamline operations and ensure data integrity.

Project & Change Support: Provide subject matter expertise (SME) during system rollouts (e.g., SAP or D365) and support business-wide change initiatives.

Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify and escalate financial risks to stakeholders, proposing viable solutions to maintain the bank’s “Fortress Balance Sheet” standards.
Required Skills & Capabilities

Experience: Proven track record of handling large transaction volumes and complex financial processes.

Technical Mastery: Advanced Excel skills are non-negotiable. Proficiency in SAP or Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) is highly desirable.

Qualification: Ideally AAT qualified or currently studying towards it.

Communication: Ability to distill complex financial issues into clear, actionable advice for both technical and non-technical audiences.
