Job Description

Provide life-changing support to adults with spinal cord injuries as a Carer with Paragon Home Healthcare in London. You’ll work day or waking night shifts in clients’ own homes, delivering safe, person-centred care and being paid competitively, with up to £400 in training and joining rewards.

Role Overview

You’ll join a specialist homecare team providing 1:1 support for clients living with spinal cord injuries across London and the South East. Working 8am–8pm or 8pm–8am, you’ll help with personal care, mobility, daily activities and companionship, following detailed care plans and always respecting dignity and independence.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including washing, dressing, toileting and spinal injury-related support
• Assist with mobility, repositioning, transfers and safe use of equipment
• Prepare meals, support nutrition and hydration, and help with household tasks
• Observe, record and report changes in health or wellbeing via electronic visit systems
• Ensure safety, privacy, and confidentiality at all times
• Support clients with community access, appointments, gym sessions and local outings (including driving where agreed)
• Arrange or assist with transport to appointments when required

Requirements

• Previous care experience (complex or spinal care desirable, but full training provided)
• Right to work in the UK
• Willingness to complete an Enhanced DBS check and provide references
• Comfortable with day and/or waking night shifts (3–4 shifts per week on average)
• Confident, calm and able to work independently in clients’ homes
• Pet‑friendly, as some clients live with cats or dogs
• Full UK driving licence preferred for roles involving driving clients

• Up to £400 rewards: £150 paid training in first pay, plus £250 joining bonus after successful probation (subject to criteria)
• Pay rates from £15.29–£18.35 per hour, with 150% on Bank Holidays and double pay on Christmas Day
