Job Overview
As a Driving Care Assistant you will visit customers at home across Coventry, helping with personal care, mobility, meals and domestic tasks while offering companionship and encouragement. You will follow care plans, notice changes, promote independence and communicate concerns to supervisors so every client receives consistent, safe and dignified support.

Responsibilities
• Help customers get up and go to bed, including dressing and undressing
• Support washing, bathing, toileting and continence care with dignity
• Assist with mobility, physical disabilities, personal aids and equipment
• Provide care for customers who are temporarily unwell, including help with feeding
• Offer support to customers who are terminally ill
• Encourage mental and physical activity through conversation, outings and hobbies
• Make and change beds, carry out light cleaning and empty commodes
• Inspect, launder and mend customers clothes as required
• Prepare, serve and clear light meals, washing up afterwards
• Write brief reports and contribute to reviews and training activities
• Report significant changes in health or circumstances promptly
• Follow all Caremark policies and procedures and encourage independence

Requirements
• Self motivated and well organised with a caring, sensitive nature
• Flexible approach to working patterns
• Able to use your own initiative and communicate effectively
• Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
• Right to work in the United Kingdom
• Sponsorship is not available for this role

Qualifications
• Previous care or support experience preferred but not essential
• Comfortable providing personal care and practical household support
• Good spoken and written English for clear communication and record keeping
• Reliable, punctual and committed to high standards of home care
