The Opportunity Aon is seeking a specialized Broker to join our Offshore Construction team based in the London Global Broking Center (GBC) . The Role within the GBC The Global Broking Center serves as Aon’s primary gateway to specialist global insurance capacity. As a Broker here, you act as the vital link between Aon’s worldwide retail network and the London underwriters. You will be responsible for navigating “Hard Market” conditions, securing coverage for massive offshore assets, and ensuring that every placement adheres to Aon’s rigorous Marketing Strategy.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Placement Execution: Managing “Firm Order” broking via digital platforms (PPL) or traditional methods, ensuring Market Reform Contracts (MRC) are finalized and accurate.

  • Submission Excellence: Reviewing and enhancing client submissions to ensure they are “market-ready” and appealing to lead underwriters.

  • Technical Management: Utilizing Brokasure and ECM for file maintenance, recording market activity, and providing detailed invoicing instructions.

  • Client Advisory: Delivering benchmarking data and placement advice to both direct clients and Aon’s global network colleagues.

  • Wording & Clauses: Reviewing slip wordings and, occasionally, drafting bespoke clauses to address specific client exposures in the offshore environment.

  • Market Relationship Management: Maintaining strong ties with key underwriters in the London market to ensure Aon maintains a competitive edge for its clients.
