Key Responsibilities

• Transaction Leadership: Lead the drafting, negotiation, and review of sophisticated financial legal documents, including LMA-based loan agreements, security packages, and ancillary documents.

• Lending SME: Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on lending transactions for the wider firm, providing tailored support for large-scale client engagements.

• Process Innovation: Collaborate with clients to develop contract negotiation playbooks and implement technology-enabled workflows for automated contract preparation and execution.

• Knowledge Excellence: Spearhead knowledge-sharing initiatives and provide technical training to colleagues across the firm’s global footprint.

• Regulatory Counsel: Navigate the complex financial services regulatory landscape, advising a diverse client base of asset managers, funds, and institutional lenders.

The Ideal Candidate

• Qualified Professional: You are a qualified solicitor in England & Wales (or an equivalent common law jurisdiction) with experience in a leading law firm or an in-house legal department at a major financial institution.

• Technical Mastery: You possess a deep working knowledge of LMA documentation and current market practices regarding security-related transactional matters.

• Academic Excellence: A strong academic background is essential to match the caliber of the firm’s global client base.
