I have a daughter of nearly 2 (22 months) called Sìrene. Me and her father haven’t been out together since she has been born and we’re wanting to spend a night just going to have dinner. But Sìrene is still breastfed. She is on solids and eats food during the day but she still breastfeeds asleep and occasionally will comfort nurse during the day. This is why it’s been so difficult. I am also very stressed about leaving her alone as we practice gentle parenting and need to be sure that whoever babysits, will also follow that. We have had a trial run with my partner’s mum but she gets very tired and gets stressed out and I just don’t trust that she won’t lose her cool with Sìrene.
