Asset Manager

Four Recruitment

Job description

Four Recruitment is representing a nimble, for-profit provider of affordable housing dedicated to delivering high-quality shared ownership and rental properties. As the Asset Manager, you will be the lead authority on the organization’s asset function, ensuring every home across the North West and Yorkshire remains a safe and reliable place to live. This role is a perfect fit for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys a mix of strategic oversight and hands-on site visits, taking direct responsibility for maintaining a high standard of living for all residents through rigorous compliance and contractor management.

Experience Required

  • Previous experience working in a property management / asset compliance role, with a comprehensive understanding of building safety and compliance management.

  • You will be able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, high levels of organization and great attention of detail.

  • Able to work effectively as part of team and use own initiative to solve problems and challenges.

  • A relevant qualification, such as a Diploma in Residential Surveying, Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), CIOB Diploma in Building Safety Management or Level 4 VRQ Diploma in Asses and Building Management Compliance, is essential.

  • They may consider candidates who have proven experience in property management, ideally within a regulated environment or already undertaking one of the outlined qualifications.

Your daily impact will involve everything from auditing statutory safety schedules and managing developer “snagging” lists to resolving customer complaints directly at their homes. You will act as the primary liaison for the Touchstone contract, ensuring that repair costs and timelines align with the company’s “repair promise.” If you are an analytical thinker who can turn data trends into actionable improvements for a Senior Leadership team and you hold a passion for building safety in a regulated environment, this Knutsford-based role offers a significant opportunity to shape a growing housing portfolio.
