Websters Rural is seeking a dedicated Agricultural Liaison Officer to join a premier property consultancy in Leeds. Our client operates a massive national network of 1,000 professionals, and you will become a vital part of their Infrastructure team focused on the Northeast region. In this role, you will act as the essential bridge between large-scale infrastructure projects and the rural community. Your primary goal is to foster positive relationships with landowners and agents, ensuring that major developments move forward while respecting agricultural interests and land integrity. This is a permanent position perfect for a communicator who understands the unique rhythm of rural life and the complexities of land access.


Responsibilities

  • Engage proactively with landowners to secure necessary land access

  • Advise clients on practical matters affecting agricultural land

  • Monitor contractor compliance with landowner commitments

  • Manage and resolve landowner complaints effectively

  • Coordinate site visits and condition record meetings

  • Assist with settling compensation claims

  • Maintain accurate stakeholder records and documentation

  • Deliver work within agreed project timeframes

Requirements, Qualifications and Skills

  • Strong knowledge of agriculture and rural affairs

  • Understanding of infrastructure schemes and agricultural impact

  • Working knowledge of soil management and drainage planning

  • Experience managing landowner relationships and records

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships

  • Full UK driving licence (essential)

  • Willingness to travel across the Northeast region
