Job Summary: Curriculum Shape Validation Coordinator
The University of Greenwich is seeking a highly organized coordinator to provide maternity cover within its Student Registry – Quality Assurance team. This role is a central component of the “Curriculum Shape” project—a major institutional transformation aimed at refining and validating the university’s academic offerings. Based at the historic Greenwich Campus, you will act as a bridge between faculty and professional services, ensuring that new and existing programs meet rigorous academic standards and regulatory requirements.
Requirements and Skills

Experience: Coordination of complex administrative or project-based activity within a large organization.

HE Expertise (Advantageous): Previous experience in Higher Education quality assurance, student registry, or academic governance.

Technical Proficiency: Ability to act as a “superuser” for the Curriculum Management Tool (CMT); proficiency in tracking and reporting software.

Project Management: Ability to manage multiple tranches of activity, meet competing deadlines, and track progress against project checkpoints.

Leadership: Experience in, or capability for, line managing administrative staff.

Communication: Confident in liaising with stakeholders at all levels, from academic leads to senior university management.
Role Overview
As the Curriculum Shape Validation Coordinator, you are the “traffic controller” for academic quality. Your primary mission is to ensure that the University’s curriculum revalidation process stays on schedule. You will manage the lifecycle of validation panels—from checking “Right to Work” status for external advisors to servicing the panels and recording outcomes. You will be the institutional expert on the CMT, guiding colleagues through the technical hurdles of curriculum design while providing senior leadership with the data-driven reports they need to monitor the project’s health.
Key Responsibilities

Validation Coordination: Oversee the QA processes for programme validations, ensuring alignment with the wider Curriculum Shape project timelines.

Panel Management: Organize and service validation panels, maintaining records of readiness, membership, and final outcomes.

System Expert: Act as the primary point of contact and advisor for the Curriculum Management Tool (CMT).

External Relations: Manage the administration for External Examiners and Advisors, including consent forms and honorarium payments.

Reporting: Generate regular status updates and progress reports for the Head of Quality Assurance and project steering groups.

Line Management: Directly supervise the Curriculum Shape Validation Administrator.
Salary and Benefits

Salary: £38,784 – £44,746 plus £5,476 London Weighting.

Contract: Fixed Term (Maternity Cover) until May 2026.
