Intro
Randstad is looking for a precision-focused and safety-conscious 360 Excavator Operator to man a 14-tonne machine on an upcoming high-profile project. If you have a steady hand, a sharp eye for site safety, and the experience to keep a busy project on schedule, this is your chance to get in the cab. Working with Tier 1 contractors, you’ll be a vital part of the groundwork team, ensuring that every bucket load is accurate and every trench is to specification.
The Essentials

Certification: Must hold a valid CPCS or NPORS card (360 Above 10 Tonnes).

PPE: Full kit required (Hard hat, high-vis, and safety boots).

Experience: Proven experience operating 13-14 tonne tracked or wheeled excavators.

Compliance: Must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
Key Responsibilities & Duties

Excavation & Trenching: Digging foundations, footings, and drainage trenches to specific depths and gradients.

Grading & Leveling: Using the bucket to finish surfaces and prepare ground for further construction.

Lifting Operations: Safely executing lifting plans to move pipes, manhole rings, or other heavy materials.

Utility Awareness: Carefully excavating around live services and following banksman signals.

Machine Care: Conducting daily pre-start checks (oil, water, grease points) and reporting any mechanical issues.

Loading: Efficiently loading muck-away lorries and site dumpers to maintain workflow.
About the Role
As a 14-tonne 360 Operator, you are the powerhouse of the site. Your day-to-day will involve complex groundwork, from precise grading and leveling to deep excavation for drainage and foundations. Beyond just moving earth, you will be responsible for the safety and maintenance of your machine, performing essential pre-start checks to prevent downtime. You’ll work closely with site managers and banksmen, often executing specific lifting plans for heavy materials.
