22 Year Old Wheelchair user in Leeds requires 24/7 PA Support. Full time hours – LEEDS – LS6

UKCIL

Job Description

Sam is a 22‑year‑old wheelchair user with physical disabilities who lives independently in Leeds and is supported by a team of Personal Assistants. He communicates using an electronic talker and needs PAs who can build strong, trusting relationships and consistently put his needs first.

He’s recently graduated from Leeds Beckett University with a degree in filmmaking and now works part‑time. Sam enjoys film, comedy, football, travel, vegetarian food and nights out with friends, so your role will be as much about supporting his social life and work as it is about daily care.

You’ll assist with all self‑care and daily living tasks, including support at home (city centre), at work and when out socially. This can involve nights out, day trips and holidays, so flexibility and enthusiasm for getting out and about are important.

Experience is desirable but not essential, as full training is provided, including the opportunity to develop skills in 1:1 hydrotherapy and physiotherapy support. Candidates should be in good physical and mental health; a driving licence is desirable but not required.

Two full‑time positions are available, on a regular rotating pattern that includes weekend work. Hours range from 36 up to 48 per week, with opportunities for overtime and holiday cover. Day shifts (07:00–00:00) are paid at £10.00 per hour and night shifts (00:00–07:00) are paid at £8.21 per hour.

If you’re enthusiastic, positive and flexible, and want to join a fun, hard‑working team supporting Sam at home, work and socially, you’re encouraged to apply with a CV and covering letter.
