We are looking for suitably qualified candidates for the following position:

Position Summary:

The driver is responsible for delivering gas cylinders to customers on an everyday basis. The incumbent will be responsible for managing delivery schedules to ensure the most efficient service for customers.

Position Type/Expected Work Hours:

This is a full-time position. Working hours and times will vary and will be dependent on assignments and schedules pertaining to the orders received from customers. The employee will be asked to perform duties by driving daily across many different areas of the Kingston Metropolitan Area. Work may be required on Public Holidays and Weekends.

Essential Functions:
• Collect and deliver gas cylinders to customers in accordance with the daily schedule.
• Follow routes and ensure timely execution of deliveries.
• Ensure that the motor vehicle records (fitness, registration, insurance) are up-to-date and that the required renewals are in keeping with government regulations. Ensure that a copy of these documents is always present in the vehicle.
• Planning routes and meeting delivery schedules for customers
• Conduct pre-trip inspection of all cylinders to ensure there are no leaks or damages
• Complies with the traffic regulations by ensuring that the signaling systems are functioning properly, and lights and other accessories are in good condition.
• Collects payments from customers and provide adequate receipts
• Inspects the vehicle and checks gas, oil, water, and battery regularly.
• Reports all accidents involving the vehicles (minor or otherwise) promptly to the Operations Manager. A written incident/accident report should also be submitted.
• Ensure payments collected are checked off at the appointed times.
• Reports and requests necessary repairs and servicing of vehicles and ensures that repairs are properly done.
• Other duties as assigned, either verbally or in writing
